The SSL service module and the content switching module (CSM), when integrated with any Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch, enables secure, fault-tolerant, networked application transactions while maximizing performance and resource utility. The solution provides industry-leading performance and feature integration. The SSL module supports up to 3000 connections per second and 300-Mbps throughput per module, and the CSM supports up to 165, 000 connections per second and 1 million concurrent connections per module. The CSM can balance loads across up to four SSL modules per chassis, allowing customers to scale performance as their business requirements grow.
